Social work

With the guidance of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti and the cooperation of the Bharatiya Stree Jeevan Vikas Parishad, Thane. Since 2007, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Bharatiya Stree Jeevan Vikas Parishad, Thane has been implementing a special project for the education of girls in rural and tribal areas along with the development of urban women.

The organization started patient assistant course for tribal girls in Thane district. Girls who pass 12th with above fifty percent marks are trained in ANM Auxiliary and Midwifery Nursing at SNDT University for 2 years. Accommodation, food, travel, education are provided free of charge by the organization for these girls. Experienced doctors and nurses are helpful in training the girls. Hands-on practice, experience is provided from nearby hospitals. Till date 160 girls have taken education from this institution. All those girls carry good manners and outlook on life and are living in the society by being self-reliant. They show the direction of health and cleanliness to the tribal and rural communities, which are dominated by superstitions.

For these girls, accommodation, food, travel, and education facilities are provided free of cost by the institution.

Experienced doctors and nurses voluntarily participate in the girls’ training. Opportunities for practical training and experience are provided through hospitals. After completing the course, most of the girls work in their own villages while earning a livelihood.

"Teach a child to speak by first helping them hear."

Kamlini Karnabadhir Vidyalaya, Thane (East), has been serving hearing-impaired children since 1990.
Currently, about 60 students from pre-primary to seventh standard are receiving education in the school.

Since 2017, the school has been running an Early Intervention Department. By using these interventions, the school successfully integrated 4 students in 2019 and 1 student in 2022 into mainstream schools.
